Tutorial: Make Your Drums Sound HUGE With PercX

You know what? Weâre going to make this really easy for you. Youâll only need to use two controls.
Step 1
Select the drum youâd like go beast mode with. We went with these drums from our "Core Drums" pack:

⢠Daiko and Tom
⢠Dhol
⢠Deep Solo
⢠Bongo Mute
⢠Darbuka
Step 2
Click one of the empty track FX slots and add a âMUDâ control. Clean up your sound by turning down the low-mid a little.
Step 3
The Magic: Click another empty FX slot and add a âBOOMâ control. Turn this up with caution and witness your drum unleash its final boss-mode. ENJOY.

Final Notes and Tips
⢠This works best on small/mid drums and large drums which donât already have a huge low end. Careful not to turn it up too much.
⢠Donât use âboomâ on something which already has a huge low end as youâll just overwhelm your sound with unnecessary sub-bass mush.
⢠What does âboomâ actually do?! Well⌠a chef doesnât give away his secret recipes but it combines a few tricks in one knob, and thereâs a little bit of everything in there. If you want to know what it does; add it to everything, turn it up and down and see for yourself đ
